It is with profound sadness and much love that, the family of Russell Bray announce his peaceful passing on June 19, 2021, at the age of 62.
Russell is lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Melody, his children Jennifer, Kelly, Jon, and Eric, 11 grandchildren, mother Karen, sister Teena, and brothers Billy and Duane, and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death, by his father Daniel.
Professionally Russell was an accomplished Rigger and Supervisor, with a career in the shipyards spanning more than 40 years. He also held a Certification in HVAC.
In his personal time at home he loved the simple life, coffee, television, chocolate, educational reading, and his Bible especially. He enjoyed nature and wildlife, taking walks in the park, on the beach, and along the river. He also liked to travel and would incorporate his family and friends along the way.
A Celebration of Russell Bray’s life will be on July 17, 2021, at 11:00am. Services will be held at: Hope For Life Baptist Church, located at 7725 Ramona Blvd W, Jacksonville, FL 32221.
