Paul Turner Hamner, Sr., age 77, went home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2021. He was born in Adel, Georgia on November 30, 1943 to the late Charles T. Hamner and Myrtle Edwards Hamner. He was a member of Venetia Terrace Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a die-hard Georgia Bulldog fan, he loved old cars and wood working. He loved collecting ball caps and at one time had a collection of over 400. He also collected Hess trucks for over 45 years.
Paul is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vera Padgett Hamner and his children LaDonna (Victor) Mireles, Paul (Roberta) Hamner, Jr., Janice (Jimmy) Skelton and Shawna Hamner, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His surviving siblings are Vinnie Baldree, Charles (Joann) Hamner and Lanis (Linda) Hamner of Adel, Georgia.
Memorial Services will be held at Venetia Terrace Baptist Church on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fraser Funeral Home on Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida.
