Matthew John Harrell, age 40, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2022 due to a work accident. Matthew was born and lived in Jacksonville his whole life. He loved the area and couldn’t imagine raising his own children anywhere else. He worked in construction becoming a highly skilled craftsman in every area he worked in. He also had a passion and skill for network administration. He was a loving father to Jaedyn and Zoey Harrell and they became his world.
Although he is no longer with us, he would hope to be fondly remembered as a loving and caring friend, son, brother, nephew, but most importantly, father.
Matthew is survived by his parents, John and Birgit Harrell, his sister, Rebecka Harrell and Reginald; his niece, Nonie; two nephews, Mason and Anakin. In addition, he leaves behind his former wife Krystal Harrell and her children, Gage, Kayla and Jasmine; and his biological children, Jaedyn and Zoey Harrell.
Funeral services will be held, Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221 with Pastor Steven Gunter officiating followed by interment in Gethsemane Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
A reception for family and friends will be held following the service at 9385 Jerry Acres Lane., Jacksonville, FL 32220.
