Douglas Archibald McCoy, 80, passed on September 25, 2022. He was born to the late Henry T. McCoy and Carolyn S. McCoy (Whitmore) in Huntington, West Virginia on January 26, 1942.
He married Carolyn S. McCoy (Boyer) in 1961 and they lived together in Orange Park, Florida. Together they raised 5 children.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn “Sue” McCoy, daughter Cynthia Bergesch (Roger Bergesch), son Henry T. McCoy, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, his brother Fred McCoy; and sisters Jeannie Wilson (McCoy), Shirley Mae, and Linda Smith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry T. McCoy and Carolyn S. McCoy (Whitmore), brothers, George McCoy, Jack McCoy, Lee McCoy, and Tom McCoy, sons, Kirk McCoy and Arnold McCoy, daughter Janie McCoy; and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Sanchez.
Douglas worked in Construction for many years and owned McCoy’s Seafood Market.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 01, 2022 from 1:00PM – 2:00PM at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221.
Burial/final resting place: Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205
