Carol E. Holland Nugent, age 83, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2023, Carol was born on December 1, 1939 in Haines City, Fl to the parents of Charles E. and Bernice Rickard Holland. She worked for 33 years for the Jacksonville Shipyard. She was also a member of Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a Lifeguard and loved fishing, crocheting, crossword puzzles and putting puzzles together, cooking, bowling and most of all, spoiling her grand babies.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Charles E. Holland and Bernice Richard Holland, David O. Nugent and her granddaughter, Amanda Nugent, and her brothers, Charles and Roy Holland.
She is survived by her only child David Patrick Nugent (Tory). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brittany Taylor (Jason), Cheyenne and Skylar Shahan, her great grandchildren, Jason, Autumn, Summer, Emy and Bayleigh Taylor, Aleiyha Keefer, Declan and Winnie Wilkinson and Asher, Brooklyn and Chase Nugent.
Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221 with Rev. Billy Bray officiating followed by interment in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00pm

I remember as a child when Pat and I would play with the other neighbor kids (Dennis, Denise, Gemini and Charles Dugger) We would swim in the pool sometimes and Mrs. Nugent would give us snacks…She will be missed by many. RIP Carol!~

I first met Carol when I was going through a very ugly, difficult, and painful divorce. I’ll always be grateful for her kindness and support at that time. You live in the memories of all of us who loved you.
