Alyce Marie Smith, 54 of Jacksonville, passed away on Monday, March 4th, 2024.
Alyce was born in Jacksonville Florida on December 10th, 1969. She was the fourth and final child of Francis Edward and Joan Smith. She graduated from Edward H. White High School in the class of 1987.
To know Alyce is to love her. Her humor is one of a standup comedian and could make anyone smile or laugh with just the way she told a story. She had many loves, but none more than the love of animals. She never met a furry four or less legged creature she didn’t want to take home with her. Alyce looked forward to her annual sisters’ trips to various destinations. Although she never married or had a family of her own, our family was only complete with her.
Alyce is survived and will be greatly missed by her Mother Joan (David) Bond, brother Donald Smith, sisters Lorraine (Buddy) Burnett, Angela (Dustin) Gates along with her nieces and nephews Stephanie Burnett, (Matt Hardman), Kelsey (Marc) Sablowski, Jakob Gates, Samantha Gates and great nephew Henry Sablowski. Alyce is preceded in death by her father Francis Edward Smith.
The family will hold a memorial service at 11am on Friday, March 8th, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 5100 Firestone Road, Jacksonville Florida. Donations can be made in Alyce’s name to the Jacksonville Humane Society 8464 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32216

My sincere condolences to her friends and family. Went to school with her for years and she was most definitely one of the kindest and nicest people. May her family be comforted with peace during this time of sorrow.
