Arthur Curtiss Miller Jr, 76Lawtey, Florida With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Arthur Curtiss Miller Jr., age 76, of Lawtey, Florida. Arthur passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024. He was born on August 1, 1948, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Arthur Sr. and Dorothy Miller. Arthur was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He attended Evergreen Baptist Church for the last two years. Before his time of worship at Evergreen, he served as a charter member at South Putnam Church for 17 years. He worked as an operational foreman for many years. Known for his unwavering faith, dedication to his family, and love for fishing, Arthur was a man of strong principles and a generous heart. Arthur’s love for his family extended to his community. His dedication as a coach at NAA, where his children played sports, was a testament to his commitment. His kindness and support helped build lasting relationships with many youth over the years. Arthur was a devoted father and grandfather, a role he cherished for many years. His love and guidance were a constant source of strength for his children and grandchildren. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide those he loved. Arthur was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Miller Sr. mother, Dorothy Miller, and sister, Evelon Holeman. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Polly (Iris) Miller, and their four children: Telisa Miller, Karen Baker (Brian), Tiffany Leonard (Brian), and Curtiss Miller (Alicia). He was also a cherished grandfather to Danny Farmer (Heather), Brian Leonard Jr., Kersti Farmer, Brian Stephen Baker Jr. (Alyssa), Sierra Snow, Bradley Baker (Summer), Kalei Miller (Jamie), Taylor Leonard, Brock Leonard, Daniel Nova, great-grandchildren Daniel, Jazmyne, Adrien, Toney, Aleigha, Carolyn, Trayson, Daniella, Annie, Miller, a beloved Sister, Bertie Hursey, and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held on August 18, 2024, at 4:00 PM at South Putnam Church, 284 Union Avenue in Crescent City, Florida. Arthur will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
