Oscar Lee Taylor was born to the late Willie R. Church and Betty T. Church on April 5, 1960 in Convington County. He heard the call of his Lord and Savior on November 7, 2024 and proceeded to answer the call. And now he has joined again in spirit with his Mom and Dad. Oscar Lee joined MT. Moriah Church at an early age and attended faithfully with his mother and occasionally joined her in singing with the choir.
After the passing of his mother, Betty T. Church, Oscar Lee and his father moved from Andalusia, AL to Jacksonville, FL to live with his sister Iona Floyd and be close to his brother, Willie R. Church Jr. of Jacksonville, FL. He was enrolled in ARC “a school for the mentally and physically challenged”, where he was always excited to attend. Unfortunately, due to health issues, he was unable to continue attending the school. However, the Lord truly blessed him and our family with care providers that came into our home who truly cared for him. They escorted him out into the community, taking him to the library to attend the book story time, out site seeing at the mall, to movies to yell at the people on the screen, to the park, out to eat, the Jazz Festivals and Carnival Fairs that came to the city. He enjoyed watching the Price is Right and Super Market Sweep. He loved music, going outside; yelling at the dog, and fussing at the neighborhood children. Oscar Lee Loved Food, People and He Loved Life.
