Roy David McNeal, Sr.

November 28, 1958~December 02, 2024

Roy David McNeal, Sr., lovingly known as David, passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2024, at the age of 66. David was a man of quiet strength, kindness, and a sense of humor that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was a faithful husband to his late wife, Sandra McNeal. Through life’s challenges, he and Sandy shared a strong bond and commitment to their family. He took pride in raising his children, providing them with love, guidance, and support. Watching them grow and succeed was a source of pride, and he considered raising his family to be one of his greatest accomplishments.
He was a devoted father to Stacy Sissoyev (John Sissoyev), Amy McNeal, and Roy David McNeal, Jr. (Ashley McNeal), and a proud grandfather to his four grandchildren: Keith and Kaitlyn Sissoyev, Piper McNeal, and Amelia Hill.
He leaves behind his brothers Walter (Ginny), Howard (Kellie), and Harley Laverne (Michelle), and his sister Mary. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, who will remember his quiet strength, mischievous grin, and gentle presence.
David worked as a skilled glazier for over 40 years, earning respect for his craftsmanship, humility, and dedication. He was admired for his attention to detail, ability to solve complex problems with patience and precision, and his willingness to mentor younger colleagues. Clients valued his reliability and professionalism, always noting his ability to deliver exceptional results while maintaining a calm and approachable demeanor. David’s reputation as a man of integrity and expertise made him a trusted figure in his field and a source of inspiration to those who worked with him.
Beyond his work, David was known for his quick wit, playful nature, and ability to brighten even the most difficult days with his playful smile and warm spirit. He was always there to help anyone who asked, whether it was offering a hand with a project, sharing his wisdom, or simply lending an ear. His presence brought comfort and reassurance, and he made everyone feel valued and appreciated.
Though his passing was sudden, David leaves behind a life well-lived and a legacy of love and kindness. His family and friends will forever treasure the many ways he enriched their lives.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Fraser Funeral Home. A viewing will precede the service at 10:00 AM. Following the service, a graveside gathering will take place at Westview Cemetery, where David will be laid to rest next to Sandy.

Dear Family, Our David was truly a kind and gentle spirit and will be missed by many. Some of my favorite times were after church softball games with our families. David was a dedicated father and husband and his love for his family was his testimony in life. I will be praying for your strength and peace today as you lay our dear brother to rest.
