It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jodie Randolph Durrance on December 5th, 2024. Jodie was 74 years old when he unexpectedly left this earth.
Jodie was born on February 24th,
1950 in Jacksonville, FL to Clarence and Marion Durrance.
Jodie was never afraid of hard work. He was CDL driver for 50 years before he finally retired. He spent many years working long hours over the road to provide for his family. In 1998 he bought his first dump truck. He spent many years working hard alongside his wife to build up his dump truck company, which ran successfully for many years.
Jodie always had a way about him that made people laugh. He was outspoken and not afraid to speak his mind or ask questions.
Though he didn’t like to admit it, he loved the many dogs and cats they had over the years and enjoyed spending time with them. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife Cindy in their RV, visiting many different states and seeing old friends.
Survived by his wife of 43 years Cindy Durrance, Sisters Beth Purvis(Dewey) and Barbara Durrance, Daughters Cindy Durrance, Jennifer Durrance-Duffy(Mike), and Jodie Durrance. Grandchildren; Kolbie, Kristopher, Kameron, and Kaden Thomas, Destiny Dedmon, and Kate Yarbrough. One great grandson Kingston, plus many cousins and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; Clarence & Marion Durrance.
A Memorial service followed by a lunch will be held in Jodie’s honor
December 12th at 2pm
