Mildred Bryant Witherington passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, in Jacksonville, FL at the age of 95. She was a devoted follower of the Lord and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.
Mildred is survived by her son, Beaton ‘Bobby’ Witherington Jr. (Nancy), her sister Frieda Lancaster, her grandchildren Mark Dawkins (Nicole), Joseph Witherington (April), and Tiffany Perry (Rick), and her five great-grandchildren Caitlin, Mika, Gabriel, Kaia, and Ryan, along with many nieces and nephews and a Sister-in-law (Barbara). She is reunited in heaven with her husband, Beaton ‘Bob’ Witherington Sr., her daughter Brenda Graham, her parents Pascal and Rachel Bryant, and her siblings Betty Joyce Hendry, Edith Keen, Pascal Bryant, Dorothy Howell, and Vivian Avis.
Mildred was born on January 29, 1929, in Immokalee, FL, where she lived until later moving up to Jacksonville to attend nursing school and then start her family. She was a kind and skilled nurse who made significant contributions for many years as an employee of Jacksonville Blood Bank. More importantly, Mildred was dedicated to her church and her family. She was a member of the North Jacksonville Church of God. She loved all animals, cooking for family and friends, and reading her bible daily. She will be greatly missed by all who know her.
Visitation will be January 2 at 1:30-2:45pm at Fraser Funeral Home ~ 8168 Normandy Blvd followed by the graveside service at 3:00pm at Riverside Memorial Park ~ 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville.
