Harold Franklin Tadlock Sept. 4, 1956-Feb. 24, 2025 Jacksonville,FL.
Harold, or Hal, as he preferred to be known, went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2025, at the age of 68. Hal was born in Laurel, Mississippi on Sept. 4, 1956, to Hulon and Carolyn Tadlock. He was their firstborn but would be joined over the years by three younger sisters, much to his chagrin. Hal was a proud graduate of West Jones High School and spent most of his life working in the automotive parts retail industry, including over thirty years at AutoZone. He retired in 2023 and moved to Florida to spend more time with his son and grandchildren. He made it less than a year before he returned to work part-time. Hal met his wife, Bobbie (Dennis) Tadlock, at a dance shortly after he graduated high school. For at least one of them, it was love at first sight. They were married in 1976, and raised one son, Kyle (Lee Anne) Tadlock. Hal had many interests in life, including his family, coins, comic books, and knives. He also enjoyed talking about food and law enforcement and somehow managed to turn most conversations around to one of those two topics. He also liked people, despite his frequent protestations to the contrary. One of the first things most people noticed about him was his odd sense of humor, while those who knew him more closely recognized his work ethic, generosity, and willingness to serve. Hal was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, son, and three grandchildren, (Medium) Hal, Alex, and Kylee, and three sisters. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Trinity Rescue Mission.
