Alan Paul Beck, age 72, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on July 3, 2023.
He was born in Denver, Colorado on October 28, 1950 and was the son to the late Robert Paul Beck and Shirley (Smith) Beck. He graduated in 1969 from S.H. Rider High School in Wichita Falls, TX and enlisted in the United Stated Navy. He retired in 1997, after 27 years of service, as a Command Master Chief Petty Officer. His final tour was with HS-5 “Nightdippers” as a Maintenance Master Chief at NAS Jacksonville.
He had a very distinguished career marked with multiple tours and numerous decorations, medals and badges. After retirement, he enjoyed Gator football and softball, NASCAR, collecting coins and taking great pride in keeping up with his yard.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley (Smith) Beck; his children Melissa (JE) Padgett and Bradley (Michelle) Beck; his grandchildren, Hunter, Colton and Aubrey Padgett and Lauren and Lydia Beck.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara “BB” Beck and his daughter, Laura Beck.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, July 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 at Fraser Funeral Home (8168 Normandy Blvd). Interment will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on July 18 at 2pm.

Worked under MMCOP BECK on active duty US NAVY. Always admired his abilities. He was a tough cookie but also he was a good soul, as a human being. RIP AMIGO🙏🇺🇸✝️☕️
