Barbara June Mick, affectionately known as Bobbie, was born on October 31, 1934, in Jacksonville, Florida, and passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, in her beloved hometown. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Barbara dedicated her life to her family and her faith.
She was married for 38 years to Hugh Mick. Barbara’s love extended to her brother, Ernest Flanders (Sandy); her daughter, Pamela Doenges; and her son, Larry Wolfe (Susan). She took immense pride in her five grandchildren, Rodney Walker (Autumn), Chad Walker (Meredith), Brent Wolfe, Darrin Wolfe, and Deanna Doenges, as well as her nine great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.
A trusting woman, Barbara lived by the saying, “everything happens for a reason,” which she used throughout her life despite any trials and tribulations that came her way. Her dedication to Christ was evident in her involvement with Whitehouse Assembly of God, where she made a significant impact on her church family and community. She was a powerful prayer warrior who interceded not only for her family, but for many others in need. She was also an active and loving mother, serving as a Girl Scout Leader and supporting her children in any way she could.
Barbara was known for her strength, kindness, and unwavering faith. She touched the lives of many with her loving spirit and dedication to her family and church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Itara Flanders; her sister, Margaret Haynes; and her son, Gregory Wolfe.
Barbara’s warm heart and commitment to her loved ones will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.

My mom and Barbara were friends back when they worked at Burger King in the 70’s. They eventually lost touch with each other, and mom asked me several years ago to try and find her but I never could. When I saw her pic on the obit I knew immediately who it was without even seeing the name. I could never forget that face and sweet smile! My mom is now gone but I hope she met up with her old friend at the pearly gates! Condolences to Barbara’s family.
