Beverly Scott McClellan Vann, “Scotti” The Queen, left this Earthly body December 27,2024. Scotti was born August 14 1947 in Abbeville SC the birthplace and home to her parents Jim and Dot McClellan. They were a military family and lived several places before settling in Jacksonville Fl. Scotti is predeceased by her parents, her husband David, and her Grandson Jacob. She is survived by her children Shelly(John) Norris , David (Tammy) Vann, and Cassie(Mike) Wallis , 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, Sister Sue(Ronnie) Valentine and Brother Mac(Patti) McClellan, many close family and friends.
Scotti attended Jr. High and High School in Jacksonville, graduating from NB Forrest in 1965. There she made lifelong friends and met her sweetheart , David. Scotti and David married in April 1966, started a family in 1969 that grew from 3 children to 11 grandkids ,6 great grands and 1more on the way. She was lovingly called Mommom by them and many others.
Scotti taught and worked in Kindergarten at St. Matthews Catholic School and Cedar Hills Bapt. Christian School. She was a faithful member of Cedar Hills Baptist Church for many years. She served on many committees for the School and Church. She was also on staff as Hospitality Coordinator, planning, prepping , and hosting many dinners, events, and banquets. She later became a faithful member of Westside Baptist Church.
Scotti was a election worker/clerk for the Supervisor of Elections from 1996 -2016.She took her job very seriously and always put together amazing teams to work an election.
Scotti lived her life for her family. She was a faithful wife, mother , loyal friend , a believer and Christ follower. She was funny, kind and always sassy! Her last few years living with Parkinsons and Dementia were not kind to her or to those who loved her most. She is now at rest with her Savior and reunited with David and all her loved ones and we know we will see her again.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11:00AM in Westside Baptist Church , 7775 Herlong Road, Jacksonville, FL 32210, with Rev. Ray Matfield officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 11:00AM in Riverside Memorial Park.
