Carolyn LaVerne Young, 86, passed on Monday, Feb 14th, 2022, with her two daughters by her side.
Carolyn was born in Sanderson, FL on May 2nd, 1935, to Harold and LaVerne Mann. She had 4 younger siblings.
At the age of 18, she married Reginald Warren Young on Dec 18th, 1953. They were married for 64 years before Reggie passed in 2018. Together they were blessed with two girls, Leslie and Lisa.
Carolyn loved spending time with family, being outdoors, browsing stores and going out to eat.
She is survived by her two daughters, Leslie Hampson (Mark) and Lisa Wilson (Ray); 4 grandchildren, Cody, Allye, Brooke, and Carlye; 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Orville and David Mann.
Carolyn was an exceptionally warm and generous person that was dearly loved by her family and friends. She will be missed every day until we are all reunited again.
Funeral services will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on Monday, Feb. 21st, 2022, at 9:30am. You must arrive 15 min early to attend the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Diabetes Association Research.

Carolyn, I sure do miss you. You and Reggie treated me like a son the first day I meet the both of you. You are great mom, grandmother and a lot of fun to be with. I loved making a great coffee and sharing a laugh together. It has been a blessing for you and Reggie to be in my life. You have enriched me to better Son In Law, Dad and person with your love and compassion. I know you and Reggie are together living a peaceful and happy existence in haven.
