Charles Rudolph Dupree, Jr. age 87, passed away November 26, 2023. Charles was born on August 11, 1936, in Jacksonville, Fl to his parents, Charles and Barney Dupree. Charles was a graduate of Paxon High School, the class of 1955. After graduating from high school Charles served in the US army from 1959 until 1961 and then went to work for JEA until his retirement. He was also a member of the American Legion. Charles never met a stranger and loved watching the Jaguars, FSU and Alabama football. He also loved dancing in his younger years, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends for birthdays or outings.
He is survived by his wife Ethel Dupree, his daughters, Denise Boswell (Ron), step daughters Laura Creel (Jim), Dawn Bearden and Christie Jones (Chris). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221 with Rev. Ray Mayfield officiating followed by interment in Riverside Memorial Park with US Army honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

My condolences to Ethel and family. I was very saddened to hear of Chuck’s passing. He was a good man and I always enjoyed talking with him. He will be missed.
