Christine Faye Swanson, 64, went home to be with her heavenly Father on July 25, 2024, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 20, 1959, in Los Angeles, California to Jackson Boyd and Ruby Marler Boyd. She was raised in Heflin, Alabama and moved to Jacksonville and Bryceville, Florida, where she lived for 38 years, The last 10 years, she lived in Maryville, Tennessee. Christine spent most of her life working as a seamstress and business owner for a pest control company. She loved the Lord and loved serving in her church. She was kind to everyone she met. She would do anything for anyone, and she treasured her family and loved spending time with them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and (Momma C to many) and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Boyd and Ruby Marler Boyd, siblings, Bobby Boyd, Janie Boyd, Johnny Boyd and Roy Boyd.
She is survived by her husband, David Swanson, Jr., a daughter, Marcella Andre (Phillip), sons, Anthony Johns (Jaime), David Swanson III (Makayla) and Jacob Lindsey; seven grandchildren, Samantha Church, Logan Andre, Annabella Johns, David Johns, Tristan Swanson, Clarissa Swanson and Gideon Swanson and 1 great grandson, Braylon Church; brothers, Eddie Boyd, Randy Boyd (Esther), David Boyd (Melissa); sisters, Betty Third, Rosie Waites (Lamar) and Dorothy Burleigh, brother-in-law, Ronnie Swanson and a sister-in-law, Marlene Swanson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 11:00AM at Hope for Life Baptist Church, 7725 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32221 with Rev. Billy Bray officiating followed by interment in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 800 Hammond Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32221. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

We’re all so very sorry about our beautiful little sister Christine Swanson leaving us so soon. But one thing we know , she is with our Lord Jesus and we will see her one day. Prayers and condolences for all in the family, we will miss her always.
