Clarita “Lally” Chinsio passed away peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2024 at the age of 88. Lally was born at Fort Stotsenburg, Clark Airforce Base in Angeles City, Pampanga Philippines on May 13, 1936. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University. She traveled the world with her late husband, Cipriano Chinsio, and eventually made a home in Jacksonville, FL where she has lived for the past 46 years. Lally was a Ward Secretary at Methodist Hospital, later at St. Lukes Hospital, and retired from the Mayo Clinic. She enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and shrimping. Lally is survived by her twin sons and their loving wives, Christopher and Anissa Chinsio and Christian and Autumn Chinsio; her grandchildren Alivia Chinsio, Conor Chinsio, Avondale Chinsio, Jaren Chinsio, and Katie Chinsio; her sisters Norma Magsajo, Teresita Pulido, and Eva Javier; and her brothers Manuel Layog and Renato Layog. Her passing was preceded by her husband, Cipriano Chinsio, in 2016 and her daughter, Catherine Chinsio, in 2024.
A viewing will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on July 9, 2024 at 10:00 followed by the Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Lally will be laid to rest with her husband at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Lally had requested that memorial contributions be made to Catherine Chinsio’s GoFundMe (https://gofund.me/294e5ea1) to fulfill Cathy’s final wish to come home to Florida to see her mom.

So sorry to hear about Lally. When I think of her, I think of her sweet smile, loving ways and soft sugar cookies. My love goes out to her entire family
