Howard B. Shivers Sr., age 90 of Jacksonville, FL passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 8, 2020. Viewing for family and friends will be held Monday December 14, 2020 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Whitehouse Full Gospel Church, 417 Maple Ave. Funeral Services will start at 2:00pm, Pastor Shelia Houston will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Jacksonville Memory Garden at 3:30pm.
Howard was born in Crescent City, FL on March 8, 1930. Howard was married to Mrs. Margret Shivers for 65 years.
Howard was a member of Loyal Order of The Moose Lodge 2020 of the Lakeshore Moose Lodge, for 46 years. He was elevated to the Pilgrim degree in 1990. Howard held many office positions within the Lodge, in 1979 he served as a Governor. He was very actively involved with the Moose Association volunteering his time.
Howard was a School Bus Driver for Rampey Bus Services, for 25 years. He also served in the US Army for 4 years during the Korean Conflict as a Medic.
Howard is survived by his loving wife Margret Shivers and 2 of their sons, Howard Shivers Jr. and Larry Shivers. 5 Grandchildren and several Great-Grandchildren.
Howard is preceded in death by his beloved son Steven Shiver.
