Jeffrey Brockel (aka “The Man”) passed away on Aug 3, 2023. He was born in Olean, NY in 1954. He served in the US Army in 1972 and married his “baby” Joanne in 1974. He later moved to Jacksonville, FL to start a new beginning with his wife. He worked construction all his life, starting his own successful drywall business. He later coached little league for his 3 sons. He volunteered his time to help the community.
Jeff loved life. He never complained about anything. He loved to tell jokes, cook, readily on standby for any of his children and/or grandchildren wants or needs. He participated in all activities while his children were in school. He set a great example of what a man and husband was supposed to look like. He would always say “There are no problems, only solutions”. He was a gentle, loving father and husband.
Jeff loved to watch his favorite team, Buffalo Bills. He loved to watch the sunrise and sunset, but especially loved the mountains, fishing, cooking out, and hiking with his 3 poodles (Hazel, Olive, and Benji).
Jeff is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joanne, his sons Jamie, Jon (Amber), and Josh, his grandchildren Jasmine, Regan, Nina, and Kevin, great grandchildren Jace and Lily, his brother Paul Brockel (Mary), Sisters Leigh Ann Wesley (Mike) and Lynn Nolder (David) and several nieces and nephews.
Jeff is predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Janice Brockel and brothers, Brad and Ronnie Brockel.
Services will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors on Friday August 25, 2023 at 2:30pm.

Jeff I will miss our over the fence conversations. You’d think after all the times we talked your babies would know me but every time I step foot in the back yard and they were out they’d bark that always tickled me . Joanne, Beverly and I will both be praying for you and your family, that God gives you strength and peace
