On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, our cowboy rode off into the Sunset.
John Wesley was born in Fort Jackson, SC and was raised in Jacksonville, FL. He went by Wesley, or simply, Wes. A man of many titles; actor, singer, comedian, pirate, knight, mountain man… but mostly, cowboy. He was the greatest husband, father, grandfather, sibling, uncle, cousin, and friend. Our lives are forever changed for having known him and will be forever lacking with his absence.
Wesley had many souls to greet him at the Pearly Gates. He was preceded in death by his grandparents – Maw and Paw Clowers, his mother and stepfather – Elaine and Bob, his Aunt Oler and Uncle Marvin – who raised him, his niece – Kristi, nephew – Thomas, sister-in-law – Wendy, daughter-in-law – Tammy, and his best friend – Doug.
He leaves behind his wife – Sarena Lee; children – John Wesley III, Kevin Heath (Brandi), Veronica Celeste (Kevin), Steven Wesley (Robyn) and Stacie Lee (Caleb); grandchildren – Courtney Marie, Christopher Bradley, Dalton Heath, Brianna Morgan, John Gatsby, Riley Grove, and Anastasia Lee; two great-grandchildren; siblings – Bobby (Cathy), Richard (Denise), Pamela (Harry), and Edward (Carlene); aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and everyone blessed enough to be considered friends.
Though his earthly body is gone, he lives forever in our hearts. Our love for him carries on his legacy.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32221 with Pastor Richard Yarbrough officiating followed by interment in West View Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL. See you in heaven one day Wesley, My Friend. I love you so much. I’m have been so blessed in my life to have gotten to know and walk with you on your path of life. Never a hard word to me but only kindness. I’ll miss our 30 minutes of talks, discussion of little things we needed to get done. I tried hard to do what you wanted, but my body wasn’t able to keep up. But now my friend, you rest and we’ll all see you soon. Thank you for your loving me too.
