Kathleen “Kathy” Grant, age 77, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023. She was born on March 19, 1945, in New Jersey, to the late Robert and Hazel Helms. Mrs. Grant was a loving mother and homemaker; she was a faithful member of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Kathy is survived by her children Robert “Bobby” Grant (Michelle) of Charlotte, North Carolina; Steven Grant of Jacksonville; Michael Grant (Katie) of Jacksonville; Melissa Grant Crew (Bill) of Elkridge, Maryland; her brother Bill (Jan) of Atwater, California; her brother Mickey (Alice) of Westwood, New Jersey; and grandchildren Erin, Thomas, Bradley, Dylan, and Clover.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 27 years Robert “Bob” Grant; her siblings Alice, Betty, George, Russ, Mary, and Charlie; and her cherished mother-in-law Marion “Nanny” Bien.
Visitations for Kathy will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 6-8 pm, at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221. Funeral services will be held at 9 am on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 8523 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221. There will be a reception following the Funeral mass with food provided by the church in Angels Hall. The graveside service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd.

Kathy was a very sweet person. I enjoyed getting to spend time with her when we went on a cruise with Bill and Melissa. She and I shared a room and I greatly enjoyed her company. We played Words with Friends for a long time. My sincere condolences to the family. Love, Gail Crew
