Honor Luz Marina Coffman’s Legacy with Love
With hearts both full of love and gentle peace, we announce the passing of Luz Marina Coffman, a radiant soul who now rests in the loving embrace of her Heavenly Father. On March 10th, 2025, she peacefully joined the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love and boundless grace.
Born in the vibrant heart of Medellin, Colombia, Marina’s life was a testament to the power of love and the beauty of a spirit anchored in faith. She lived with a deep and abiding love for God, which shone through in her every action and word. Her heart was a sanctuary of warmth, where everyone was welcomed as family. Her home was a haven, filled with the comforting presence of her loving spirit.
Marina now rejoices in a glorious reunion with her beloved husband, Steve Coffman, who joined the Lord in 2023. Their love story, a reflection of divine love, continues in eternal light.
Her unwavering faith was her guiding star, illuminating her path and touching the lives of all who knew her. She found solace and strength in the promise of eternal life, as expressed in John 14:2-3: “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
Marina’s loving spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her children, Adriana, Juan, and Jazmin, and her seven cherished grandchildren. She leaves behind a tapestry woven with threads of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
We invite you to celebrate the beautiful life of Luz Marina at a memorial service on March 15th at 2:00 PM at Immanuel Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL, where we will gather to honor her memory and find comfort in the promise of eternal life. Heaven, Safely Home at Last…
I am home in Heaven, dear one,
Oh, so happy and so bright,
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and sorrow over,
Every sadness tossing passed,
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder why I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh but Jesus’ love illuminated
Every dark and fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me,
In that way so hard to tread,
And with Jesus’ arm to lean on,
How could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely
For I love you so much still,
Try to look beyond earth’s shadows,
Pray and trust our Father’s will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand.
Do it now while life remaineth,
You shall rest in our Lord’s land.
When your work is finally completed,
Jesus will gently call you home;
The rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!!!!
