Malinda was a classmate and good friend of mine. She and Tommy both went to school with me and my husband. They married just a few months before we did and would sometimes come to stay with us when Tommy was on leave from the Air Force. We always enjoyed their company. We are both so very sorry to hear of Malinda’s passing. Sending our condolences and prayers for the family.

Sending love and prayers to family and friends. Malinda was a very special person, who I have thought of often that would bring a smile to my face. Malinda and Tommy were always good people and their love is exemplary of that. We will miss you friends, for the time being, but we will see you again one day. Prayers for comfort for loved ones.

Malinda became my aunt when she married my Uncle Tommy. When they were just dating my Uncle played in a 3 man rock band at the skating rink that used to be on Cassat Ave. He and Malinda were only 16 or 17 at the time and me 7 years younger than them. Well, my Mom would drop off me and my friend and Malinda would walk us up to the guy that gave out the skates and say to him, “They’re with the band, give them some skates.” Which made me feel special, plus we could go behind the rail where she and the lead guitar guys Dad would sit and no one else was allowed to go. Once we were all grown and married with kids we were together a lot and would talk about our kids growing up together but that wasn’t to happen cuz I ended up having to move out of state but we’d always be together at Christmas at my Moms house. I miss those days and I miss my Uncle Tommy so much and I will miss Malinda very much too. I have nothing but the fondest memories of her she was my Aunt Malinda.

I am so sorry for you Billy and Scott and your families having to go through this inevitable part of life so close together. It was hard enough to lose your Dad and now your Mom very close behind him. We know Malinda had a broken heart and just maybe God thought it best to reunite her with Tommy. We know for sure she loved you boys and your precious families. Her and Tommy were so very proud of you all. I hope you will be able to find peace in your loving memories in the days and years to come. You will miss her dearly but I hope you can find some solace in knowing that her heart is not broken any more. It is not easy to lose your soulmate, the love of your life. I feel that Malinda is in a better place than us and I hope she is walking the streets of gold and celebrating with Tommy. We aren’t suppose to ask God why, so I will keep your families in my prayers for you to receive some understanding and comfort. God bless you all! Malinda, rest in peace my friend!
