Mary Aniela Mazur Stokes passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024 in Jacksonville Florida. Mary was born on March 7, 1961 to Stanley B. Mazur and Imogene Mazur. Mary attended St. Matthews catholic school which instilled her love of God. Mary was married at 18 to Leroy A. Stokes on December 11, 1981. Mary worked as a supportive living coach for IDD individuals, volunteered with several organizations and had a strong ambition to help others who were in need. Mary worked with IDD individuals for several years and loved what she did. Mary fought hard the last two years and suffered with COPD, rare plaque psoriasis congestive heart failure and end stage renal disease. She is truly an inspiration to us all and she will be greatly missed. In heaven she will join both her parents, brother, and other beloved family who proceeded her in death. Mary leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband Leroy Stokes, Brian(Jennifer), Desiree, Dustin(Leanne) and three grandchildren Zachary, Sebastian, and Lilly. Through this painful journey, she never lost her faith and gave God the Glory every day.

Desiree, I am so sorry about your mama. I met her when she was a supported living coach for one of my guys. She was like a second mom to him and she treated him that way-not as a client but as a friend. She made you instantly feel at ease, it was like I’d known her my whole life. She was very special, and I know she loved you guys a whole lot.
