Michael Hilton Faircloth, age 67, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, in Jacksonville, the same city where he built his life, loved deeply, and left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Born on May 17, 1957, Michael was the cherished son of the late Emory Hilton Faircloth and Betty Lee Faircloth. He was the oldest of five siblings, a role he embraced with quiet strength and unwavering support, always someone his brother and sisters could look up to. He was a devoted husband, a loving dad and papa, and a true friend to many. His life was marked by loyalty, humility, and a deep love for his family.
Mike was the beloved husband of Romona J. Faircloth, married for 24 years, they shared a life full of love and family. He is survived by his children: Jennifer Faircloth, Amanda Smith, Emily Wade (Eric Wade), and Jennifer Abernathy. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is reunited in heaven with his son, David Faircloth, as well as his dear parents.
Mike is also survived by his sisters Michelle Rushing (Steve), Tina Sanders (Jeff), and Linda Ritter (Donnie), and his brother, Craig Faircloth (Jodi). He was a proud uncle to four nieces and seven nephews.
A lifelong Gator football fan, Mike, found joy in the game but even more in spending time with his family. At just 17 years old, he began working at MR Engine and went on to build a career defined by hard work, dedication, and pride in a job well done. A true gentleman and steadfast worker, he was respected and admired by all who knew him professionally and personally.

Just now finding out that you have waved goodbye Mike! Thinking of you now conjures up so many great times! My Father loved you, Football pools, our Gator FSU rivalry and so many times you helped our machine shop and employees. You were the Man! Incredibly honest and always quick with a smile. Wish I could have had the chance to say goodbye. Counting on my Father to welcome you home. God bless.

We at J&K Machine Shop absolutely adored Mr Mike! He was the light to ordering parts! Mike was a Papa figure to us and we loved to visit him, take returns and spend time with him. He was so special to us and knew about both our pregnancies before any of our friends or family, but he was our family. He loved us and our boys and we will forever remember the wonderful man he was, his charisma. I still hear his “uh-huh” while sassing me. He is so incredibly missed. To the family, we’re so sorry for your loss and send all the love and prayers to you all. If we can do anything during this time, please let us know.
