Orphee was born in Lomé, Togo, and immigrated to the United States with his parents in 2001. He had a deep passion for learning about and sharing the politics and heritage of his homeland. At work, he was admired for his strong work ethic and unwavering reliability.
To his siblings, Orphee was a loving big brother—playful, supportive, and always ready with uplifting words in times of discouragement. To his parents, he was a devoted son and a compassionate caretaker.
Duw to his tall stature, his friends lovingly nicknamed and knew him as “Big O”—a beautiful soul whose warmth and light drew people in. They will forever remember his radiant smile, comforting presence, and the many ways he touched their lives.
Orphee’s legacy is one of unity and forgiveness, a testament to the way he lived and loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Daba-Koffi, and his younger siblings, Yawa and David.
