With great sadness we mourn the loss of our mother. She lived a full and beautiful life, defined not by grand gestures, but by the quiet steadfast love she gave freely to her family, friends and the many animals who were lucky enough to be in her care, including many stray cats who found their forever home on her porch.
She was born in Washington D.C. and moved to Jacksonville in 1947. She met Joseph J. (JJ) O’Brien Jr. and they remained married for 68 years. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother and grandmother, cherished sister and aunt and an unwavering friend.
Though she left this earthly life, her spirit lives on in the stories we share, the values she instilled and the love she gave without condition. Her memory will forever be a blessing.
She is survived by her daughters Cheryl O’Brien, Nancy (Steve) Crews, granddaughters, Olivia & Vanessa Crews, brother Richard (Nadine) Megill, brother-in-law Ken Plummer and family friend Gina.
A Visitation will be held at Fraser Funeral Home’s Chapel on Wednesday, June 18 from 6:00-8:00PM. A Vigil will take place on Thursday, June 19 at 12:00 PM at Fraser Funeral Home’s Chapel.

I love you Aunt Pat and cherish my memories of you and Uncle Joe. Your house was always a home filled with joy and laughter just spending time together. The last Christmas I spent with my Dad was celebrated at your home as well. In the 54 years I knew you, you were always the same loving and cheerful person as before. We were all very fortunate to have you in our family for as long as we did. You will be missed……..
