Paulette Gates, 75, of Jacksonville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 6, 2022.
Paulette was born in Baltimore Maryland on September 14, 1946. She was the oldest of four children born to Alfred and Irene Gunderson. Paulette graduated High School from Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, FL.
After retiring from Life of the South Insurance she lived out her lifelong dream of living in the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. She enjoyed many years of gardening, baking and making many memories with her children and grandchildren.
Paulette is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of 57 years, Norman Gates Jr.; two sons, Christopher (Christine) Gates, Dustin (Angela) Gates; two grandchildren Jakob and Samantha Gates; and brother Michael (Nancy) Gunderson. Paulette is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Irene Gunderson, sister Dorothea Larossa, and brother Raymond Gunderson.
The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
