Today we celebrate the life of our Beautiful Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother; Peggy Stringer Morgan. Peggy was born on October 5th, 1932, to Emma Canady and Jack Buford in Baker County, Florida.
Peggy met Paul Gerald Morgan in Jacksonville, Florida. They fell in love and married on May 29th, 1948 and they were together for 56 years.
Peggy is survived by three of her children. Shirley Stringer, Margie (Gene) Somnity, and Paul G. Morgan Jr.
She was preceded by her husband Paul Morgan, Sr; her son Tommy Buford Morgan Sr (Bonnie Morgan); grandchildren: Jimmy L. Price Jr., Morgan Faith Stringer and Scotty Douglas Logan Jr.
Peggy was happiest when in the company of 11 grandkids, 17 great grandkids, and 6 great great grandkids. All were loved and doted on them as only she could do. She taught each of them to love God and always have faith. She gave each of them her unlimited patience and knowledge that only a grandmother has.
She leaves each of us wonderful memories of a life well lived.
Peggy attended Dinsmore Baptist Church for many years. She loved her church and her many friends she met while attending services. She was always faithful to God and set the example for all her family and friends to follow.
Her prayer is we will one day we will all be together in Heaven.
Peggy’s great great past time was Gator Sports (all of them). Oh yes, she was a true orange and blue. She would always cheer for your favorite team unless they were playing “The Gators” She loved being a Gator Fan, win or lose.
Peggy led a very active life. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother and still held a job her whole life. She began working as a school bus contractor for Duval County. After years of service she and Paul retired and moved to Lake Lochloosa for fishing and relaxation. They then un-retired and became House Supervisors for Moose Haven. They retired again and went back to the lake. Peggy un-retired again and went back to Alachua County School System. Finally, she retired for good, and she and Bullfrog settled down until until his passing on September 28th, 2004.
Grandmother returned to Jacksonville after Bullfrog’s passing and began her next full time job, Teaching all of us how to properly raise her next generation.

Rest in Peace Grandmother! May your legacy of faith and family live on in all the lives you have touched. We were not born or married into your family, but for 19 years you accepted us as if we were your own flesh and blood. You have given my little family all the holiday traditions in southern style, taught me how to play Bunco, provided us amazing memories of big family get togethers and birthday parties. These will be the memories that Montana will always cherish of her earlier years, and you were present for so many of her life changes, including achievement ceremonies, her first prom, and 2-graduations (kindergarten and high school) you even attended Grandparents Day at her school, just like a Grandmother would. Thank you for loving us and allowing us into your family, we are forever grateful, and we love you so much Grandmother. Your presence here will surely be missed but I know we each have a special part of you with us. Our Love Kevin, Missy and Montana
