Lester Edward Parrish, Jr., age 77, passed away, January 10, 2024. Lester was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, FL. Lester was born on September 15, 1946 to his parents, Lester Edward and Annie Mozelle Parrish.
Lester served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the National Defense Service Metal. Lester retired from NADAP as a Jet Engine Mechanic.
Lester enjoyed fishing, working on hot rod cars and airplanes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Edward Parrish, Sr. and Annie Mozelle Smith Parrish Mara, his wife, Virginia Mae Parrish and a great granddaughter, Gracelyn Mozelle Parrish.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Lyn Parrish, his daughters, Gia Renee Parrish and Theresa Lynn Parrish and his sisters, Kelly Gaylord and Leah Fitzgerald. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Taylor Donato, Kendra Parrish, Julian Warnick and Logan Parrish and his great grandson, Emmersen Hardie.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 3:00 PM in Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 with Pastor Jonas Milton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221
