Roxanne Sumner Joiner, 67, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Roxanne was born August 31, 1954, in Jacksonville, Fl and was the daughter of Elwood Augustus Sumner and Alice Inez Sumner. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elwood and Alice, grandson, Keeden Andrew Joiner, and many other family members.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Joiner (Ricky May Jr), her son Brian Joiner, grandchildren Columbia May, Aria May, and Emma Joiner. She is also survived by her siblings Rowland Sumner, Robin Markel (Gary Markel), Randy Sumner (Kim Sumner), and many nieces and nephews.
She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything and was beyond an amazing mother and grandmother. She has many great friends and bonus children. She will be greatly missed, but we know she is resting with our Lord and Savior.

We met as “pre-teens” about 1967 … our friendship was so fun! She was certain one day she’d be hangin’ out with Davy Jones (of the Monkees) … so blessed to have reacquainted ourselves and caught up. Her light will shine through her children and those precious grandchildren. She’ll always be a part of my history … rest in peace sweet girl.
