Shirlee Smith Purvis, 87, beloved wife, mother and Nannie passed away on February 26, 2024. Shirlee was the youngest of 9, a devoted wife to husband Richard (predeceased), a proud Jackson Tiger, a retired Duval County Schools employee and most importantly the matriarch and glue that binds our tight knit family. She spent her life in service to others and will be missed beyond all measure. Survivors include children, Terri Purvis, Scott Purvis (predeceased), Kathi Curran, and Kent Purvis. Six grandchildren, Joshua Purvis (predeceased), Derek Purvis (Thim), Degan Purvis (Meru), Megan McCrackin (Dalton), Ashley Purvis (Van) and Shannon Curran (James) and three great grandchildren Donavon, Avi, and Elie as well as many loving family members and lifelong friends. Funeral services will be held graveside at 2:00 PM on Friday March 1, 2024 at Edgewood Cemetery (4519 North Edgewood Avenue Jacksonville, Florida 32219) Flowers can be sent to Fraser Funeral Home 8168 Normandy Blvd Jacksonville, Fl 32221
