Steven W. Satterwhite Sr., aged 69, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025. A cherished father, devoted husband, and steadfast friend, Steve touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy of love and integrity that will forever endure.
Born on August 10, 1955, in Hampton, Virginia, Steve dedicated his life to service. He joined the U.S. Navy and ascended to the esteemed rank of E9 Master Chief Aircraft Maintenanceman, a testament to his unwavering commitment, diligence, and leadership. After 21 years of honorable service, he transitioned into civilian life, later retiring from the United States Postal Service in 2019.
Steve’s passions extended far beyond his professional achievements. He found joy in restoring cars, trucks, and motorcycles, and took delight in collecting vintage items, from violins to cameras. Generous with his knowledge and enthusiasm, he often shared his interests with those around him, enriching their lives.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Satterwhite, his children, Amber Satterwhite Jocson, Bo Satterwhite, and Veronica Satterwhite, as well as his grandchildren, Jordan Denby, Conner Denby, Madison Denby, Brooks Venegas, Ascher Jocson, and Kian Cruz. He is also lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren, Elliot Denby and Oaklynn Washington.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221. A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32221.
