Tyler Kenton Hoagland

November 29, 1991~February 15, 2025

“Tyler Kenton Hoagland, born on November 29, 1991, in Columbus, IN, was sent to his eternal home on February 15, 2025, at the age of 33, in Jacksonville, FL. He was surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He showed unwavering strength and positivity until his final day. He will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and impact he had on others despite the challenges of his illness. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived.
Tyler is survived by his loving mother, Mindy Higgins, father, Russell Hoagland, cousin/bestfriend, Madison Hoagland, sister, Haley Goble, brothers, Austin Goble, Seth Hoagland, Dylan Land, paternal grandmother, Kay Hoagland and his maternal grandparents, Lora and O. J. Brown, aunts, Susie Hoagland and Karen Brewer, cousins, Joe, David, Brittany, Brandon, niece, Indy Goudeau, and buddy boy, (Walter the cat), whose hearts are forever touched by his love and legacy.
Tyler was a lifelong music lover, often filling his home with a wide range of music from Steely Dan to Circa Survive. He was passionate about sharing his musical taste, which left a lasting effect on those that knew him. In high school, he was part of the symphonic and marching band. Years later, he would always say he wanted to find a saxophone that was in good shape so he could play again. He was an avid gamer and science enthusiast. He had a passion for learning about history, ancient cultures, and the universe. You would often find him representing his favorite sports teams, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Indiana Hoosiers. Tyler became the ultimate cat lover, beginning with his orange boy, Walter. Eventually, a gray cat appeared, followed by a small black one. Before long, he had multiple generations of kittens, from the first to the third. Having them all by his side brought him joy as he fought through his battle with cancer.”

I wish I could’ve made up for the times I fought with him as a kid, I didn’t get to apologize but I saw cotton candy sky later than normal, maybe that was you and gods way of saying you forgive me. Im sorry
