On July 1, 1974, Bob Fraser founded Fraser Funeral Home. Mr. Fraser operated the business until 1984 when Joan Fraser and two investors bought the company. Ms. Fraser aggressively captured a large portion of the West Jacksonville funeral market. As a native of Jacksonville her business concerns included sincere, fair and complete funeral service to the people served by Fraser’s Funeral Home.
On March 1, 1993, Prime Succession Inc. bought Fraser Funeral Home. Prime allowed the operation to continue with basically no changes to our client families.
Fraser Funeral Home is located in Jacksonville, Florida and serves the entire city and surrounding counties. Located in the Westside of the city, we are within six miles of three of the larger perpetual care cemeteries. We serve all faiths and cemeteries. Fraser concentrates on its Westside families by using many local rural cemeteries and being located near two of Jacksonville’s largest churches.
In January 2004, Fraser Funeral Home was purchased by Donn Lithgow, but remained under the management of James and Gina Gentry, who then purchased the funeral home in 2005. In 2019, sadly James Gentry passed away surrounded my family and friends. Today, Fraser Funeral Home is family owned and operated by Gina Gentry and managed by Robert Hattabaugh.
