Anthony “Amp” Terrell Whitten, age 24, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2021 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Born May 30, 1997, in Jacksonville, Florida, Anthony graduated from Job Corp Gainesville prior to joining the United States Army. Anthony earned rank as Sergeant First Class working as a geospatial engineer in the US Army. Serving his country since 2017, Anthony has been stationed in Springfield, Missouri, Pyeongtaek, South Korea and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Anthony enjoyed creating and playing video games, reading and drawing. Amp is preceded in death by his grandmother Paula Margaret Phillips and uncle Gerald Anthony Mackey II. He is survived by his mother Kissy Mackey, grandmother Monica Gable, grandfather Gerald Mackey Sr., sisters Adriana Walker and Alexis Mackey as well as two nephews Asher Lee and Abel King. Also surviving is his uncle Louis (April) Stefanell and cousins Ashton McCormick and Alyssa Stefanell. He leaves two dear friends, Steven Shock and Terrell Thomas.
Services will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm, Fraser Funeral Home 8168 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221. Family will welcome friends at 1pm for a viewing.
