Barbara Ann Morgan Jones passed away peacefully to be with our Heavenly Father on February 16, 2021. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on June 22, 1941 and resided in Callahan, FL since 1985. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1959. Barbara was raised in foster homes with the Children Homes Society until she was 11 years old. She retired from the State of Florida where she worked for the Department of Health. She also worked for the Health and Septic Department of Callahan , FL. and as a Service-master at Baptist Medical Center for 8 years. Barbara volunteered at the Florida Blood Bank in 1996 and for the American Cancer Society in 1990. She also volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa ,FL for 6 years. She was a loving wife, mother, granny, sister and friend. She had a sweet way about her and would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family whom she loved fiercely. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Jones after 60 years of marriage. She is survived by her two children Kenneth Jones( wife Deborah), Shirley Krausse( husband Richard), her sister Eleanor and brother Billy. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Lisa (husband Austin), Allen, Brittani, Tyffany, Cathy, Richard Jr. and two great granddaughters, Avis and Mila. Barbara will be missed dearly and remembered always.
Viewing and Funeral Services will be held at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd Jacksonville, FL 32221 on February 27, 2021. Viewing 12-1:00pm. Service to follow at 1:00pm. Barbara will be laid to rest at The Jacksonville National Cemetery.
