Barbara Jean Woodard, 82, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on September 19, 2023. She was born on October 18, 1940, in Houston, Alabama, to the late Odos and Delora (Self) Underwood.
Barbara was a sweet woman who loved her family and friends dearly. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Billy Woodard, her daughters Carolyn Renee Buckner (James “Bobby” Buckner), Reta Hanna (Penny), and her son Richard Woodard (Stephanie). She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Odos and Delora (Self) Underwood and granddaughter, Angel Renee Buckner.
Barbara’s family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring her life at her places of worship. She was a member of Grace Baptist in Tullahoma, Tennessee, Trinity Baptist, and Westside Baptist in Jacksonville, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
