Sweet Nanny, my first memory of you was when I was a toddler. I was laying in your lap while you brushed my hair back off my face, the Christmas tree was lit in front of us. You looked down at me and said, “You’re getting very sleepy aren’t you? Your eyelids are getting heavier aren’t they”? I fell asleep, knowing I was loved and adored by you. You are precious to me, I’m incredibly thankful for the love you gave, for the time I spent with you and that God chose me to be one of yours. We walked in your garden together, you taught me to sew, you made my favorite recipes, you loved my babies dearly when I became a mother. I will see you again. It’s comforting to know you’re bursting with joy in heaven right now, surrounded by loved ones, including some of my babies. We will be together again one day and we’ll eat peanut butter balls and strawberry cake together. All my love, Kimberly, or as you called me “Kimberlina”.

Aunt Marie, You will be missed by us all. I am grateful to you for so many things. The scripture you taught me while going through surgery as a child remained etched in my heart. As I walked along a trail today, I shared that memory with my friend. Angelita your mosquito will miss you. Please give our other loved ones a hug from me. Until we meet again in heaven, I know you and son many others are with us in spirit. I love you . Oh and I’m sorry about mailing you peanuts when you lived in Puerto Rico. I had no idea that the ants would join in the travel.

My dear sweet Mama, I love you so much. I will miss all our picnics in the car at Chick- fil-A and our Dollar Tree trips just to what was new, we always laughed and had such fun on trips out together. I’m posting a Picture of you when you went with me to Daytona and ate at Aunt Catfish, your favorite Crunchy fried shrimp and one of you on the balcony watching the waves wash in and out. I’m so thankful You are my mama, you taught me about Jesus in so many ways, you were giving and loving to all people, Gods light was always shining through you. I know Jesus will say to you, “Well done good and faithful servant.” Dance with the Angels Mama.

Precious Nanny, you are in my heart forever, you are still with us because we are a part of you. I will carry you with me always. I know you and Papa will be watching over me and my family, you were an angel here on earth, now a Heavenly one. I will be looking for your signs from Heaven. Nanny, you fought the good fight, you finished your course, you kept the faith, you now have your crown of righteousness, given to you by the most righteousness One, and although this makes me very happy, there is a piece of my heart that can’t be fixed until I see you again someday. I love you my precious Nanny, see you on the other side…Love, Kerry
