Bernice Johnson Sandiford, born May 3, 1936 in Seville, Florida passed away on December 18,2021 at the age of 85. She married her husband, Glyn Austin Sandiford, on her 20th birthday in 1956. She was an avid reader and loved to travel with her Husband. She wholeheartedly devoted her life to raising her three children, and loved spending time with her 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was very excited about the expected birth of her next great grandchild in January 2022. She loved the Lord with all her heart, and she shared her love of Jesus with everyone. She was a member of the “Lydia” Sunday School class at Mandarin Baptist Church.
Bernice is survived by her two daughters, Renee Stanley (John), Shauna Patterson (Mike), and her son, Tod Sandiford (Tami). Nine grandchildren, Taryn Lewis (Mike), Ryan Stanley, Paige Hoover (Blake), Brooke Sandiford, Haley Sandiford, Faith Sandiford, Austin Patterson, Ashleigh Patterson and Alex Patterson. Three great grandchildren, Parker Lewis, Caelynn Lewis, and Landon Lewis. Her legacy and love will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone.
Her funeral service will be graveside at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens at Trinity Baptist Church, 800 Hammond Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32221 on December 30, 2021 at 11:00am.
A celebration of life will follow at LaVenture Grove wedding and event venue, 2375 Moremen Road, Fruit Cove, Fl
