Bertha Marie Miles, always called Marie or Aunt Rea, passed away February 17, 2020, after a gallant battle with cancer. Marie was born February 10, 1963 to Robert Beese and Lillian Beese. Marie is survived by her husband Larry and her son Joshua, two sisters; Brenda Hunt (Don) of Callahan, and Kathleen Dykes (Jim Roe) of Jacksonville and a sister in law, Lynn Beese and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles, and her fur baby, Pricey. Marie was predeceased by her brother, Robert Beese Jr., and both parents. She was an active member of Hope for Life Baptist Church. Marie was always there for everyone and anyone that needed help. She loved her family and her church family. She loved to garden and was so proud of her flowers.
Funeral service will be held, Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 11:00am in Hope for life Baptist Church, 7725 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221 with Rev. Billy Bray officiating followed by interment in Oak Grove Church Cemetery, 6862 County Road 23C Glen St. Mary, FL. 32040
The family will receive friends at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221 on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 5:00 -7:00pm.
Following the graveside service in Oak Grove Cemetery the family will be returning to Hope for Life Baptist Church for food and refreshments for friends and family. For Lynn – Sister in law Sending prayers for comfort and peace to Larry, Josh, Brenda, and Kathy. Marie was such a joy to be around, always smiling, always happy, always trying to bring laughter and happiness to others. She was such an encouragement to me (and her brother) during his battle with cancer. I know her and Robert are in heaven right now, smiling down on us, but always in our hearts.
