Betty Lou Roper Clark, passed away peacefully at her home of 20 years in Jacksonville, on Sunday January 12th, 2020, in her 86th year. Loving Wife of 67 years to belated Husband Eddie. Beloved Mother of Robert and his wife Robin. Proud grandmother of Michelle, Robert and Elizabeth. Daughter in law of the late Eddie Edward Clark, Sr. and Elizabeth Dawson. Betty was born on May 6th, 1933 in Birmingham, AL to Robert H. Roper and Maryland Pauline “Strain” Roper. She was educated in Fairfield Alabama, and proudly married her husband and supported him in his career. Quote from her son; “my mother never met a stranger and blessed me with that same ability”. She is survived by her son Robert Clark(Robin), grandchildren Michelle Clark, Robert Clark, & Elizabeth Clark Turner and several great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd. Jax., FL 32221 on Saturday January 18 Viewing @ Noon, Funeral Service 1pm. Internment will be in Birmingham, Alabama at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Betty can be made to Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
