Bruce Lance Brooker, age 64 of Middleburg, FL passed away August 25th, 2023 in Jacksonville FL. He was born on January 13th, 1959 in Tokyo, Japan. Bruce married Brenda Brooker on July 6th, 1985 in Jacksonville, FL.
Bruce was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He grew up in Jacksonville, FL. He was a member of his Jr. High School band and played the snare drum. He graduated from Paxon Senior High School in 1977. He was a Master Plumber and a great handyman who enjoyed helping anyone he could. He was an avid Florida Gator Fan and loved spending time with his family. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and drove the church bus every Sunday. He treated all children as they were his own. He loved celebrating holidays with his grandchildren and dressed as a cowboy every year for Halloween. Bruce will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and church family.
Bruce was predeceased by his mother, Harriett Nettles, father, Clarence (Dan) Nettles, brother, Brian Ray Brooker and granddaughter, Addison Lynne Brooker.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Brenda Brooker. Children, Ben, Brandon, and Breanne. Grandchildren, Benjamine, Koen, Aubrey, and Kamryn, brother, Brad (Missy), nephew, Alec, and nieces, Leslie and Morgan.
His service will be held on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1532 Long Bay Rd. Middleburg, FL 32068. Flowers will be received at the church where the service will be held. A closed casket visitation will be from 10-11 am. Service to begin at 11 am. Once the service is complete, there will be a luncheon provided by the church. A burial service will be at 3 pm at the Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32205.

I always grew up knowing you as my uncle and you were the brightest light I knew! I miss you and love you uncle Bruce. You’re at peace now and kicking it with your mom and family that are up there along with Jesus and God. Rest in peace you will be missed majorly.

Brenda and family, so sorry for your loss. Bruce was a nice man and always had a kind word for me whenever we were together. He treated my sons as his own and I will always be greatful for that. May God comfort you qnd your family in your time of grief.
