Carol Madeline Sandifer McNutt, 80, native of Jacksonville, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, May 15, 2022. She was born on August 18, 1941, the eighth child of nine born to Elias and Ella (Hogg) Sandifer. Carol was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School class of 1959.
Carol loved being active in her apartment community for the last six years. She loved having her great grandbabies around her and being G-ma. She is survived by her children, Vernon (Peanut) McNutt, Jr; Candy (John) Bennett; grandchildren, Shauna (Casey) and Derek (Melanie) and four great grandchildren, Trey, Blake, Kimber and Kallie. She is also survived by three sisters, Anna, Jeannie and Jo and many nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to express their gratitude for the amazing care that Carol received at the Community Hospice Douglas Center for Caring at Baptist Healthcare Downtown. In memory of “Mama” and “G-ma” the family has requested that you enjoy playing a game or putting a puzzle together with your family or go enjoy a walk and a snack together.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 20th, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Boulevard in Jacksonville, FL.

I feel privileged to have gotten to have known and spend time with Mrs. Carol. She would say some things that would crack you up at times. Praying for her family. ❤️
