Born on July 5, 1942, in Warren, Ohio Carson passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on November 5, 2023. Carson’s wife Pam was by his side as she has been for the last 61 years. He will be missed greatly! Carson was an entrepreneur owning Spas by Schaeffer, then working at the City of Jacksonville Beach Utilities while simultaneously running his own business Schaeffer Utility Management in Fort Myers, FL. Carson had a love of cars and trucks. He enjoyed working on them, from adding lights under his vehicles, bigger tires and high-performance chips to just piddling with them. He even restored an El Camino from the ground up. One of his favorite things was going with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids to Disney and camping at the Fort Wilderness campground. He is preceded in Death by his Father Claude (Jan) Schaeffer, Mother Reta (John) Randolph, brother Randy Schaeffer and his loving daughter Kellie Schaeffer Said-Ahmed. He is survived by his wife Pam Schaeffer, his children Jodie Borchert, Jennifer Prok, Jonathan (Erin) Schaeffer and Kari (Ron) Zeaiter. His grandchildren Rebecca (Josh) Luckey, Amarah (William) Normoyle, Amira Said-Ahmed, Cara Cox, Ethan Duncan, Libby Zeaiter and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His brother Terry Schaeffer passed away shortly after Carson’s passing. The family will receive friends at a private residence for a Celebration of Life on November 25, 2023, from 12pm-4pm.
