Charles Edward Mason

On Thursday, February 16th, 2023, Mr Charles Edward Mason, a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son, and friend answered an untimely call to go be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven. The sad event took place in the loving hands of his dear wife and the mother of their children, Mrs Cecilia E Mason of Jacksonville, Florida.

Born in Bonthe in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone. His Primary Education was at St Charles Luanga, Kenema, Secondary at Christ the King College (CKC) in Bo, Also Freetown Technical Institute, West African College of Insurance in Monrovia, Liberia and attend the University of Phoenix in Jacksonville, Florida where he obtained his BA & MBA with a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

He worked for Northern Assurance Company, opened his own Insurance Brokerage, relocated to the United States of America where he worked in several Professional Companies such as American Life, J C Morgan, Chase, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, etc.

Mr Mason left behind his children: Mr Joe Teddy Hindolo Mason(Rosie Amor), Mrs Eleanor Jilo Kollie (Roosevelt), Mrs Charlia Komeh Kantarevic (Fikret), Mrs Georgiana Yattah Magwood (Thomas), and David Mason. He is survived by his amazing grandchildren: Hanifer, Harun, Muhammad, Tre, Halima, Yatta, Rease, Asher, Eliana, and Adin. He is also survived by his Elder Brother Bamie Moses Mason (Laurie), Sister Rebecca Oloh Mason & Family, Felix Mason & Family, Michael Mason(Nannah), late brother Samuel Mason (Teresa), late brother George Mason(Saptiru ), and several relatives including aunties, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and an army of friends at home and abroad.

To his family and those who knew him, Mr Mason was a great family man known to be cordial, kind, helpful, and the king in his own kitchen. He loved to cook, entertain, talk about politics, sports, and many fun things in life. Mr Mason took good care of himself and appeared well groomed while attending to personal and business matter. With a high sense of fashion, he was always well-dressed, used haut couture and classic cologne to smell good. Mr Mason will be greatly missed. We love him dearly, but God loves him best. May his precious soul rest in peace eternal.
