Cynthia D Esckilsen

October 10, 1954~February 12, 2022

Cynthia Esckilsen went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 12, 2022, after complications from heart surgery. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 10, 1954. Her parents were William H. Green and Evelyn L. Green. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Teresa and Rebecca, and brothers Kenneth and Timothy.

She is survived by her husband Mark Esckilsen, son Jeremy Tawes, 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and sisters Marlene and Priscilla. She worked for the City of Jacksonville for many years in the Call Center. The nature of this job was taking many complaints, but she always tried to help others with information and a kind response.

Cynthia loved her family and always had a joke to tell to make others smile. She was a great cook and made delicious dishes for family holidays and gatherings. Cindy had a heart of giving and helped care for her elderly mother for many years and was caring for her son, Jeremy when she passed.

My family lived next door to Cindy for many years when Jeremy was born. She was a great neighbor, wife, mom, and friend. She was one of the funniest people ever! Go in peace, dear friend, I will miss the way you made me smile!

Cynthia knew how to make people laugh. She would surprise you with a one liner that would send you over the edge in laughter. She served her community with pride, loved her family deeply and was kind. Praying for comfort and peace for all those that knew and cared for her. I will miss you Cynthia. XOXO
