Donald Paul King, age 87, passed away, October 10, 2021. Donald was born in Pleasant Point, West Virginia to the parents of Cecil M. King and Sarah Jane Simpkins King on October 16, 1933. He worked as an Auto Mechanic and Hotel Maintenance for many years and he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed working on cars, woodworking and spending time with his family.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Donald P. King Jr., a daughter, Linda Sue Amrmendariz , a grandson, Richard Allen King, brothers, Wayne E. King, Jimmy K. King, and Marion C. King.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Rhodes King whom he married on October 10, 1953. He is also survived by his daughter, Sandra K. Brancato; his brothers, Charles R. King, Arthur Lee King and Carl D. King, his sisters, Audrey E. Cain, Barbara Cooper, and Anita Gilbert. He is survived by his grandchildren, Ernie Lee Brancato(Teresa), Sandra Flores, Teresa Britos, Jessica Britos (Arnold), Crystal Thomas and Tina Johnson, Sara Farley, Donald King III, Daniel King and Susan King; and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth Martin, Emma, Zoey, and Brantley Brancato, Nadia, Diana and Aidan Britos, Michael and Morgan Keene, Hilaria Dominguez, Richard, Andera, Jazmin, Luis, Gabriella and Jose Flores, Autum and Elizabeth Thomas, Cameron and Evan Johnson, Tori, Morgan, Jessica and Brooke Farley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday October 16, 2021 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221 followed by interment in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Charles Brancato, Carlos Amrmendariz, Ernie Lee Brandcato, Jason Mann, Josh Rollins and Christopher Amrmendariz
Mr. King was remembered for being a very loving, kind and generous husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
